MATHEZ FREIGHT is a family-owned group, originally based in Nice, offering services in both logistics and regulatory expertise. The company has two branches, one in La Ciotat and one in Saint Mandrier. These are mainly focused on the yachting business, in direct liaison with local refit yards such as MB 92, Monaco Marine and IMS.
Customs formalities and logistics
These agencies, under the responsibility of customs broker Alain Rigaud, assist these shipyards in their dealings with customs and tax authorities. Acting as intermediaries, they take care of all the formalities required for the various customs and tax regimes to which yachts may be subject, depending on their flag.
These formalities notably concern spare parts, both those leaving the site and those arriving from abroad (…).
Depending on the boat’s customs and tax situation, we carry out the appropriate formalities: total or partial exemptions, or payment of VAT if necessary.
