progress<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-alert-description\">The rollout of the DELTA IE customs system continues in France, incurring unexpected delays for both exports and imports. \nSince January 15, an IT incident has affected imports, necessitating a back-up procedure. \nCustoms clearance times in France are significantly extended for both exports and imports. \nOur teams do their utmost to limit the impact for our customers. <\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" class=\"elementor-alert-dismiss\" aria-label=\"Dismiss this alert.\">\n\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"far fa-folder-open\"><\/i>\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-35034eb 2025<\/strong>, French customs have been using the <strong>new Delta I system<\/strong> for all import declarations.<br>The old <strong>Delta G<\/strong> system has been discontinued, and <strong>all those involved in international trade &#8211; administrations, forwarding agents, carriers, importers &#8211; have had to switch simultaneously<\/strong> to this new European platform.<\/p><h2>A plainful technical transition<\/h2><p>This changeover, imposed by the <strong>European framework<\/strong>, was carried out to <strong>very tight deadlines in France<\/strong>. Despite the <strong>colossal efforts<\/strong> of Customs teams, IT publishers and our own declarants, this results in some difficulties: <\/p><h3>The switch is tricky:<\/h3><ul><li>frequent <strong>slowdowns<\/strong> in customs and EDI systems,<\/li><li>technical <strong>faults<\/strong> to be corrected live,<\/li><li>longer processing <strong>times<\/strong> for goods release.<\/li><\/ul><p>The new procedures are more complex and more detailed, which inevitably means longer <strong>processing times for our declarants<\/strong>. Each file requires more verifications, validations and consistency checks &#8211; precision work, often under pressure. <\/p><h3>Impact on logistics and costs<\/h3><p>These delays can have a knock-on effect on <strong>delivery times<\/strong>. We do our utmost to limit the <strong>financial impact<\/strong>, especially when certain batches exceed <strong>port demurrage<\/strong> or airport storage fees . <\/p><blockquote><p>MATHEZ FREIGHT&#8217;s teams are in constant contact with the authorities and operators to minimize additional costs and avoid unnecessary downtime.<\/p><\/blockquote><h3>Thank you for your understanding<\/h3><p>We join the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stmra.fr\/fr\/actualites\/mise-en-place-du-nouveau-systeme-douanier-delt-i-un-appel-comprehension-et-cooperation-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Syndicat des Transitaires M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes (STMRA) in calling for<\/a> everyone&#8217;s understanding and cooperation in this period of transition.<\/p><h2>What&#8217;s new with Delta I (Import)<\/h2><p>New features linked to the introduction of DELTA I, which replaces DELTA G, include the following:<\/p><ul><li>the <strong>H1 declaration<\/strong>, also known as <strong> the &#8220;import cargo customs declaration&#8221;, <\/strong>replaces the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SAD<\/span><b> (Single Administrative Document), a form familiar to international trade professionals.<\/b><br>&gt; Find out more in our article: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathezfreight.com\/en\/blog\/delta-ie-import-form-h1\/\">DELTA IE has arrived: the H1 declaration replaces the SAD. <\/a> <\/li><li><strong>LOCODE system<\/strong> is being used for precise identification of loading, unloading and inspection areas<\/li><li>all operators must gradually switch to an <b>EORI identification<\/b> based on the SIREN (company level, not establishment level). <\/li><li>Importers using maritime transport will have to provide <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">loading lists with details per container<\/span> (FCL or LCL), to enable their customs broker to complete declarations in full compliance (details in a forthcoming article). <\/li><\/ul><h2>And soon&#8230; Delta E for export!<\/h2><p>The current phase concerns imports only. The next step is the transition to <strong>Delta E<\/strong> for <strong>exports<\/strong>, scheduled for <strong>December 14 <\/strong> <strong>, 2025<\/strong>, with new <strong>exit
