<strong>new EORI numbers<\/strong> in the <strong>9-digit \u201cEORI SIREN\u201d format<\/strong> (based on the SIREN number of their head office &#8211; FR+9 digits), instead of the 14-digit \u201cEORI SIRET\u201d number (linked to each establishment). <\/li><li><b><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Update January 2026: <\/span><\/b>The <strong>new 9-digit &#8220;EORI SIREN&#8221; numbers <\/strong>were to be mandatory on the delta I\/E system from <strong>January 1, 2026<\/strong> <sup>&#8211;<\/sup> but in fact, DELTA IE and other national applications will accept 14-digit EORI SIRET numbers after January 1, 2026 for a <b>period yet to be specified<\/b>.<\/li><li><strong>Delta H7<\/strong> Customs application for e-commerce \/ low-value imports already works exclusively on EORI SIREN.<\/li><li><strong>Obtaining an EORI number<\/strong> is fairly straight forward, so don&#8217;t delay!<\/li><li>French Customs are gradually deactivating the EORIs of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">closed establishments<\/span>, blocking customs clearance using these numbers. Allocation is generally rapid, within a few working days. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Companies established in other EU Member States: <\/strong>Application must be made to the customs authorities in the Member State of establishment. The EORI number thus obtained is valid throughout the European Union. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Company established outside the European Union<\/strong><br>The EORI must be requested in the <strong>first EU member state<\/strong> where the company carries out a customs operation.
